Background documentation Navigating in the UWL  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

The UWL has a navigation system, which you use to access different UWL iViews.

To access UWL services in the portal, choose the following menu path:

      Start page Activity

      Collaboration My Tasks

Note

The Collaboration link is only displayed if the collaboration service is installed in the portal.

UWL Tab Pages

Depending on your configuration, you see the following tabs (navigation controls) on the UWL user interface:

Tasks, Alerts, Notifications and Tracking.

Sub Views

You can use sub views to select and navigate between different views. You can add further sub views to the dropdown menu by personalizing  the UWL.

You can see all personalized views in the dropdown list, even if they do not contain any work items.

For sub views created by customizing XML files, you can only see sub views that contain work items in navigation.

Note

If you create sub views, the system automatically recognizes whether additional views exist with the supported item type and whether entries are assigned to the user. In this case, the views of the sub view are assigned dynamically. These can be views defined by customers or business partners, or views created automatically during alert registration. The system automatically creates one view for each alert category. For performance and technical reasons, the number of views inserted dynamically is limited to seven per user. You can change this limit in the iView properties under Maximum Number of Dynamic Views.
