Favorites provide an easy way to access frequently used queries. In Visual Composer, you can browse and modify the list of favorite queries stored for your user in a BI system.

Prerequisites

As outlined in Work with SAP BI Systems.

Procedure

To browse for and select a Favorite:

  1. On the Find Data Services task panel, select an SAP BI data service (see Find Data).

  2. In the Look for drop-down list, select Display favorites.

    Any Favorites stored in this system under your user appear in the list. They may either be stored at the root or in a folder hierarchy.

  3. Navigate to, select, and work with an InfoObject in the Favorites and query structure as desired (see Using a BI System as a Data Service).

To add a query to Favorites:

  1. On the Find Data Services task panel, select a query in a BI system.

  2. From the context menu, select Add to Favorites. The Select Favorites Folder dialog box appears:

  3. Navigate to where you want to store the Favorite. You can store a Favorite at the root node or you can store it in a folder.

  4. Click Create New Folder to create a new folder. You can also nest folders into existing folders.

  5. Click Remove Folder to remove a selected folder.

  6. Click Add to store the Favorite in the selected location and dismiss the dialog box.

To remove a query from Favorites:

  1. On the Find Data Services task panel, select an SAP BI data service.

  2. In the Look for drop-down list, select Display favorites.

  3. Select a query, and from the context menu, select Remove from Favorites.

Result

If you created a Favorite or modified the Favorites list, this information is stored under your user in the BI system.
