Configuring Producer Instances on Your Consumer Portal 

Applicable to: remote role assignment, remote delta link, WSRP application sharing 

Once you have added a producer instance to your portal, you use the producer semantic object in the Portal Catalog to do the following:

       1.      Edit connection properties and metadata of the producer (see Editing Connection Properties to Producers). (Optional)

       2.      View and manage the aliases of the producer instance (see Maintaining Producer Aliases).

       3.      Test the connection to the producer from your portal (see Testing the Connection to a Producer).

       4.      Register you consumer on the producer (see Registering Your Consumer Portal).

       5.      Assign permissions to the producer object (see Assigning Administrator Permissions to Producer Objects).
