Managing Transports of Non-ABAP ObjectsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You can transport non-ABAP objects in Workbench requests. You use Transport Organizer Web UI for the creation and administration of transport requests for non-ABAP systems. Transport Organizer Classic UI (transaction SE09) is only suitable for ABAP-only systems and dual-stack systems.

For closely coupled applications, you can call the Transport Organizer Web UI directly from the application, depending on the application.

Depending on your transport strategy, you can perform some of the tasks (creating, preselecting, releasing transport requests, for example) directly from the application or automatically.

A different version of Transport Organizer is available to manage the transports of non-ABAP objects in your system depending on whether the CTS plug-in is installed in your SAP system or not.

  • If CTS plug-in is not installed in the system, the Web Dynpro for ABAP application CTS_BROWSER is available.
  • If CTS plug-in is installed in the system, the Web Dynpro for ABAP application CTS_ORGANIZER is available.

The procedures for managing transports of non-ABAP objects vary slightly between the applications.

Note CTS plug-in delivers CTS_ORGANIZER for SAP Solution Manager systems as of release 7.1, and SAP NetWeaver systems as of release 7.3 Enhancement Package 1.

You import transport request containing non-ABAP objects, as before, in TMS (transaction STMS).

You have performed the configuration steps for non-ABAP transports.
