Attaching Non-ABAP Objects to Transport Requests (CTS_ORGANIZER)Locate this document in the navigation structure

Note CTS_ORGANIZER is available only if the CTS plug-in is installed in the ABAP system in which you start Transport Organizer Web UI. Otherwise, CTS_BROWSER is used.

To attach non-ABAP objects to a transport request, you have the following options:

  • You can attach non-ABAP objects directly in the application.

To be able to attach non-ABAP objects directly to a transport request from your non-ABAP application, your application must be closely coupled to Change and Transport System.

For more information on whether this is true for your application, see the documentation of your application.

For more information, see Attaching Non-ABAP Objects Directly in the Application.

  • You can attach non-ABAP objects from a file system.

For loosely-coupled applications, you can attach any file from a file system to a transport request. The file system can either be a file system on your desktop or on the CTS Server. For more information, see Attaching Non-ABAP Objects from a File System.

Note You can add any file format to transport requests, including Word and Excel files. You can document your transport requests in this way. This makes sense if you use quality assurance procedures in TMS which you have to provide documents for. You can use TMS to access these documents at any time and download them to your desktop.
