When you have set up and applied the filter (see Change and Use Filter), the SAP Note information is displayed in the tabs, sorted by SAP Note type. The numbers in parentheses indicate the number of SAP Notes.

Note Note

Only the SAP Note types that you are authorized to use are displayed. For more information, see the SAP Solution Manager Security Guide in the SAP Service Marketplace, under   http://service.sap.com/instguides   SAP Components   SAP Solution Manager <current release>  , under 4 Operations.

End of the note.

Note Note

When a filter is applied to a technical system for the first time, no SAP Note information is displayed, even though there may be relevant SAP Notes. A message tells you that you must perform either a manual or automatic update.

The update is necessary because when you apply a filter, the SAP Note information is loaded from SAP Solution Manager rather than directly from the SAP Support Portal. Only SAP Note information that has already been transferred can be displayed. The date of the last update is displayed in the row Last Refresh.

End of the note.

To update the SAP Note information, you have the following options:

  • Activate automatic update (see Update Notes Automatically). The SAP Notes are automatically updated on a regular basis.

Use automatic SAP Note information update for all monitored systems.

  • Update the SAP Note information manually. Choose Refresh. Update the SAP Note information manually if the monitored solutions have been changed recently or if you expect new SAP Notes for a system, for example, because of a security patch.

The SAP Note information for the last month is transferred from the SAP Support Portal to SAP Solution Manager, where it is then displayed. Depending on the size of the update, this may take a while.
