Features

The Solution Documentation Assistant compiles the analysis results by the following criteria, and displays them on the corresponding tabs:

  • Analysis Results: Displays the results of an analysis, i.e. which business processes are used. Selected results of an analysis are presented in a graphical overview.

  • Object Use: Shows use data passed, for example, by SAP Early Watch Alerts (EWA) or SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse, depending on the object type. This shows you to which objects check steps and analysis projects are already assigned. For objects which are not yet taken into account, you can:

  • Settings. Shows the settings made at creation.

  • Chain. You can:

    • You get a graphichal or tabular overview of the following information, for the current analysis:

      • the Solution Manager project or solution on which an analysis project and the current analysis are based

      • whether the Solution Manager project on which the analysis is based, has been updated

      • which new analysis projects were created from the analysis

    • You navigate to a solution or to a Solution Manager project from the graphical overview of an analysis project by choosing the relevant graphic or table elements.

  • Report: You can output an HTML report of the detailed analysis results or generate error reports, for example.

  • Log: Shows problems that occurred during the analysis, for example.

The following functions are also available:

  • In the results overview, you can either display the results for one period or all periods that have been analyzed.

  • You can pass the analysis results to the underlying Solution Manager project. There are update rules for passing the results.

  • You can display the analysis results as an analysis report, or print them.

  • You can compare two analyses to identify structure nodes for which the valuation changes from one period to the next, for example.

Activities

  • Restrict the analysis results period, as necessary. All time periods are selected by default. In the analysis, each period is analyzed separately. The ratings for several periods are then aggregated.

    Note Note

If the default value All is set, and you want to display details for individual periods at the level of a check step, select the check step, and choose Period Details.

    End of the note.
  • To identify the causes of a failed analysis, you have the following options, for example:

    • You analyze the messages on the Log tab page.

    • You check the analysis parameters on the Settings tab page.

    • You use the problem reports on the Report tab page.

  • To pass the analysis results to the Solution Manager project, choose Update Solution Manager Project. Use the update rules to specify which results to pass.

  • To create a Solution Manager project, choose Create Solution Manager Project.

  • To save analysis results as a document, or to print them, in the Report tab, choose Display Analysis Report.
