In the technical configuration, you make the cross-scenario basic settings for a solution which are not process-specific, before you implement scenarios for this solution.

You make the technical configuration in the structure in the transaction Configuration (transaction SOLAR02), under the node Configuration, and make your settings in the Structure and Configuration tabs.

Integration

The configuration structure is reused in the Test Plan Management.

Features

  • Select existing configuration structures from the Business Process Repository (repository of the scenarios and business processes delivered by SAP)

  • Create a configuration structure, for example with elements from projects or the project/solution-specific business function scope

  • Change configuration elements

  • Assignment of objects, for example IMG objects and documents, to the configuration elements

  • Make technical configuration for your solutions

  • Print the configuration structures, including assigned documents, as a configuration guideline

Activities

  1. Create a configuration structure.

  2. Assign objects, for example IMG objects, to the configuration structures, in the Configuration tab.

  3. To lock the configuration elements for dependent implementation projects, against changes, in a template project, assign values for the global attribute, to the configuration elements, in the Structure tab.

  4. (optional) Create a configuration guideline document based on the configuration structure in   Configuration   Config. Guideline  .

  5. Perform the cross-scenario configuration.

If , for example, an IMG activity is assigned to a configuration element, start it in the managed system, to make the basic settings.
