Landscape 
The Landscape view gives you an overview of all components of a system landscape, in the SAP Solution Manager. You check the information available about managed systems which you have selected. The components are assigned the following types, which you select under Type Selection:
Technical (managed) systems
Hosts
Databases
Technical scenarios
You can:
Under , check the System Status, display error messages, and go to the applications in which you can resolve the errors.
There are the following types of checks:
Landscape
Self-Diagnosis
Configuration
Configuration and Change Database
Goto goes to the application in which you can resolve errors, by, for example, creating a system or an RFC connection.
Note
The status information is collected at least once a day. If you are not sure whether the status information is up-to-date, choose Update All.
You can display the System Modeling, to check the SAP Solution Manager system landscape, and whether it corresponds with your system landscape. For more information, see Display System Modeling .
You can start the technical landscape editor, to create or edit technical systems. For more information, see Landscape Management.
Note
Whether you have to create a system manually, depends on the product. Check in the System Landscape Setup Guide for the product, whether you must create a system, and for its creation parameters. You can createRFC connections between the Solution Manager and your managed systems. For more information, see Managing RFC Connections for Technical ABAP Systems.
You can activate , deactivate and release extractors, and display logs. For more information, see Extractor Framework.
You can manage diagnostics agents. For more information, see Agent Framework.
You can display the status of diagnostics agents, restart disconnected diagnostics agents, and display log files. For more information, see Agent Management.
You can check whether the configuration and change database data is up-to-date, and update it, if required.
