Assignment of Technical Objects You use this process to assign technical objects within your system or beyond system boundaries.
For example, if you are creating an operation contingent, you can relocate technical objects (such as aircraft) from units in the domestic structure to units in the operation contingent. Within an operation, structure changes or tactical operational requirements may make it necessary to change the assignment of technical objects to a force element. These technical objects must then be transferred from one force element to another.
The process flow when assigning technical objects depends on whether the utilizer assignment or owner assignment is to be changed.
You create a purchase requisition from the requesting to the issuing force element. In the
Structures Workbench
,
Technical Objects
tab page, choose the
Alternative Equipment Views
tab page and in the alternative equipment view, choose the
Create Purchase Requisition
pushbutton or create the purchase requisition in the Planning Workbench.
Note
You can define document types for the receiving plant in Customizing by choosing .
You execute the required materials management measures.
As soon as the goods issue posting has been made, the system changes the relevant master and transaction data (see Relocation of Technical Objects ).
If the new assignment is carried out between different systems, the issuing system transfers all required data to the receiving system.
You execute the goods receipt posting.
You map the assignment in the
Structures Workbench
,
Technical Objects
tab page and activate this new assignment (see
Assigning Technical Objects (Owner Assignment)
).
After the utilizer assignment, the relocated technical objects are available in the new force element.
