Manual Master Data Generation You have the option to make manual assignments between force elements and CO objects in addition to or instead of automatic master data generation .
Caution
Note that if master data is generated again automatically, master data that was created manually might be changed.
Objects that you deleted manually using different applications may be regenerated.
Objects that you created manually using different applications remain intact.
Assignments that you deleted manually using different applications or the
Structures Workbench
may be regenerated.
Assignments that you made manually may be adjusted.
You have the following options for master data generation:
In the
Structures Workbench
, you can use the relevant functions in the menu under
Environment
to create and edit cost centers, profit centers, cost center groups, and profit center groups.
In the
Structure Workbench
, you can generate or modify master data objects via the
Controlling
tab page by choosing
Generate <Object>
and
Modify <Object>
(you must first select the required assignment). When you generate an object, it is created and assigned automatically using the available organizational data and account assignment information. Regenerating updates the current data.
Note
This function is not available when you assign to an inherited master cost center.
You can assign existing CO objects to a force element in the
Structures Workbench
on the
Controlling
