 Infrastructure Material

Use

Infrastructure material is NCG material that is used for a different purpose than other material and is therefore subject to separate material supply. It is assigned to real estate, and is made available to a force element for a certain period during the force element’s stay in the real estate.

Prerequisites

You have defined the following:

  • An infrastructure material MRP area on the Stock/Provisions tab page of the force element that manages the infrastructure material

  • An infrastructure material storage location on the Stock/Provisions tab page of the force element that does not manage the infrastructure material

Activities

  1. Call the Material Categories Planning application.

  2. Use the Post pushbutton to post to the infrastructure material storage location the infrastructure material stock planned for use by the force element that does not manage the infrastructure material.

    You can directly transfer post an infrastructure material managed in serial numbers to a different storage location in the serial number view.

  3. After temporary use of the real estate by the force element that does not manage the infrastructure, post the unused stock back to the infrastructure material MRP area of the force element that manages the infrastructure material.

    You can use the report /ISDFPS/INFRAMAT_RETURNS (transaction /ISDFPS/INFRAMAT_RET) to post the infrastructure material back to the infrastructure material MRP area.

    Note Note

    You can use report /ISDFPS/INFRAMAT_OVERVIEW to obtain a current stock overview for the infrastructure material.
