 Editing Supply Source Determination for Provisions Material

Use

You can assign provisions materials that belong to the same external material group to a storage location. This assignment enables you to perform system-internal supply source determination when a purchase requisition is entered (transaction code ME51N).

Prerequisites

You have already defined external material groups in Customizing by choosing Start of the navigation path Defense Forces & Public Security Next navigation step Organizational Flexibility Next navigation step Command and Control Relationships Next navigation step Define External Material Groups for Supply Relationships End of the navigation path .

Procedure

On the Stock/Provisions tab page in the Provisions Element area, you have chosen the Display/Change MRP Area pushbutton.

  1. Choose the Stor. Loc. tab page.

  2. Choose the Ext. Material Group to switch to the Assign External Material Groups to Storage Location screen.

    A list of all the available external material groups is displayed.

  3. You can now assign a storage location from the selected provisions planning area to the external material groups. Assignment is optional. If you enter a default value in the last row of the list, this entry applies for all external material groups that do not have an entry in the Storage Location field.
