Material Planning for a Relocation Primarily, you carry out material planning specifically for those materials that are assigned to the relocation steps of a relocation. However, you can also plan the relocation of single materials, in accordance with the procedure in the
Material Categories Planning
application
.
You are familiar with the
Material Categories Planning application
(see
Material Planning
).
For a relocation, the following difference applies for the
Material Categories Planning
application: In the material list, the system selects only the material categories that are assigned to a relocation step in the relocation.
During the
relocation of technical objects
, the assignment of objects to a force element changes. During this procedure, stock transport requisitions are created. Independent of this procedure, materials that refer to a technical object can be assigned to a different force element, and therefore relocated, as a result of material planning in the
Relocation Execution application
.
In order to synchronize these two processes, the purchase requisitions that are created during the relocation of technical objects are listed in the
stock/requirements list
in the
Relocation Execution application
for further processing.
You can assign the purchase requisitions to a relocation or relocation step by choosing
Assign Relocation
. As a result, the actual stock (ordered quantity) increases in the authorized/actual comparison of the newly assigned force element.
There are two different types of equipment package (EPA):
HU managed
EPAs of this type are subject to inventory management. They can be assigned to all relocation steps.
The system creates planned records for the materials grouped in the EPAs when they are assigned to a relocation step.
Not HU managed
EPAs of this type are not subject to inventory management. They can be assigned to relocation steps of type 2 or 3 only.
You carry out material planning manually with the aim of categorizing stocks according to their function.
When you create EPAs, you can define packing instructions. When EPAs are assigned to a relocation step, the packing instructions are copied to the relocation step and can be edited during relocation planning.
The system provides an overview of packaging materials.
You group together different pieces of office equipment in order to be able to relocate them together.
