Mass Changes: Material Object Assignments

Use

This report enables you to make a mass change to the following assignments of material planning objects (MPOs) or material containers (MCs):

Structure assignments (assignments between a force element and a material object)
- MPOs to force elements
- MCs to force elements
iPPE assignments (assignments between material objects)
- MPOs to MCs
- MPOs as components
- MPOs as additional parts

You can delete the respective assignments or delimit them to a particular date and at the same time, assign a different object of the same type, if required.

Functions

Structure assignments

Only active assignments between material objects and force elements are changed. The changed data is then assigned the status Active .

The following selection and processing parameters are available in the Cancel With or Without Replacement application:

Generic Selection Parameters
Material Planning Object/Material Container

Specify whether you want to cancel the assignments of a material planning object or material container
Usage Type

Specify the required usage type.
Assigned Object
- Material Planning Object/Material Container
  
  Specify which assignment you want to end.
- Usage Type
  
  Specify the required usage type.
- Delete and Replace
  
  Specify whether the previous assignment is to be replaced by a new assignment.
  - Material Planning Object/Material Container to Be Removed
    
    Specify the required object.
  - Replace with
    
    If you have selected Delete and Replace, enter the new assignment that you require.
Delimitation Date

You specify the key date on which the change is to be made.

iPPE assignments

When you change iPPE assignments, no status change takes place. New assignments therefore have the same status as the corresponding previous assignments.

The following selection and processing parameters are available in the Cancel With or Without Replacement application:

Select Relationship Type

Specify which assignment you want to change.
- MPO in Material Container
  
  Assignment of a material planning object to a material container
- MPO as a Component
  
  Assignment of a material planning object to a material planning object as a component
- MPO as Additional Part
  
  Assignment of a material planning object to a material planning object as an additional part
Material Planning Object

Specify which assignment you want to end.
Delete and Replace

Specify whether the previous assignment is to be replaced by a new assignment.

  If you have selected Delete and Replace, enter the new assignment here.

Activities

Call the Delete With or Without Replacement application (transaction /ISDFPS/MPO_SUB).
Choose whether you want to change structure assignments or iPPE assignments.
Enter the required selection and processing criteria.
Choose Execute.
- Structure assignments
  
  If you change an assignment without replacement , assignments to force elements that begin after the delimitation date are deleted. Assignments that end before the delimitation date are not changed. All other assignments are delimited.
  
  If you change an assignment with replacement , assignments to force elements that start after the delimitation date are replaced with new assignments. Assignments that end before the delimitation date are not changed. All other assignments are delimited and new assignments are extended to the end date.
- iPPE assignments
  
  Since iPPE assignments do not have a period, they are deleted without reference to time with or without a replacement, depending on your selection.
  
  If you change assignments with replacement, assignments and their values for number/quantity are totaled if there are assignments that you intend to be replacements.
