 Direct Synchronization

Use

You can exchange data between systems in the distributed system landscape using a direct synchronization between both partners. In the system landscape that has a central and decentralized level, you generally use this tool to exchange data between the central and decentralized system.

Prerequisites

In the relevant systems, you have configured the following settings in Customizing for Start of the navigation path Defense Forces & Public Security Next navigation step Distributed System Landscape End of the navigation path :

  • Under Systems and Connection Parameters , specify the connection parameters for the central system and the decentralized systems, including:

    • Systems involved and communication relationships

    • Connection test

    • FTP server for transports

    • tRFC parameters

    • ALE inbound processing

    • RFC destinations

      Note Note

In the Maintain DFPS System Landscape application (transaction /ISDFPS/ALE_SYS_MAIN), you can also configure these settings directly in each productive system (that is, outside the IMG).

      End of the note.
  • Under Assignment of Clients to CCMS Mechanisms , define whether automatic system reactions are to be run if communication between systems is interrupted.

    Note Note

In the Maintain DFPS-CCMS Properties application (transaction /ISDFPS/CCM_SYS_MAIN), you can also configure these settings directly in each productive system (that is, outside the IMG).

    End of the note.
  • Under ALE Object Categories and Transfer Priorities, define the priority categories for message types.

  • Under Assign Message Types to Object Categories, assign priority categories to the message types.

Features

The initializing system starts the synchronization report in both the central system and in the partner system. The report processes the priorities in accordance with your Customizing settings.
