Background documentationStanding Order

A customer order that is executed at regular intervals, on a certain date, for a certain amount, and for a certain recipient.

You can use standing orders for SEPA Direct Debit transactions. For more information, see Creating a Standing Order.

Structure

  • Transaction Type

You create standing orders for each account, whereby the transaction type forms the basis of a standing order. For special requirements you need to maintain the transaction type in the Customizing settings by choosing Start of the navigation path Account Management Next navigation step Basic Functions for Account Management Next navigation step Maintain Transaction Types End of the navigation path.

  • Release Procedure

In Customizing you can also specify that there is to be an amount-dependent authorization check and release using the release procedure. For standing orders with a fixed amount, choose Start of the navigation path Account Management Next navigation step Release Next navigation step Release Standing Orders With Fixed Amount End of the navigation path.

For variable standing orders, see Variable Standing Order.

  • Other Details

Other required details include the amount, the payment method, the ordering party account and the recipient data.

  • Restriction of Standing Order Recipient

You can restrict the standing order recipient to the bank accounts associated to a particular account holder by setting the BP Bank indicator for the product associated to the account. You make this setting in Customizing for BCA by choosing Start of the navigation path Account Management Next navigation step Basic Functions for Account Management Next navigation step Maintain Payment Transaction Settings for Deposit Banking Next navigation step Participation in Payment Transactions End of the navigation path.

  • Suspend Execution of Standing Order

You can suspend the execution of a standing order.

  • Externally Initiated Payment Transactions and Dialog Payment Transactions

You can use a BAdI (BADI_BKK_SO_BANK_KEY_CHECK) to specify whether the standing order is to be created if the bank key of the ordering party item or recipient item differs from the account bank key.

For more information, see the BAdI documentation in Customizing for Bank Customer Accounts (IS-B-BCA). Choose Start of the navigation path Account Management Next navigation step Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) Next navigation step BAdI: Check Standing Order to be Posted with Given Bank Key End of the navigation path.

  • Parallel Processing

If you use Parallel Processing for Standing Orders, the system posts the standard orders in parallel processing. You can specify the number of standing orders for each package for parallel processing. To improve the system performance, you can set the No Connection to External Payment Transaction System indicator. To use parallel processing, you need to enter settings in Customizing for Bank Customer Accounts (IS-B-BCA) by choosing Start of the navigation path Tools Next navigation step Parallel Processing for Posting Payment Items Next navigation step Post Payment Items in Parallel Processing End of the navigation path.

This function selects the standing orders in the following sequence: Debits, fixed amount, variable amount.

Integration

You can include the report for executing standing orders (RFBKSOCRPAR) in the end-of-day processing chain.
