 Comparison and Reconciliation of Production Campaigns

Use

You use this function to compare and reconcile production campaigns from SAP ERP and SAP Advanced Planning & Optimization ( SAP APO ). When you select the Production Campaigns indicator on the CIF – Comparison/Reconciliation of Transaction Data screen and execute the comparison, inconsistencies in production campaigns between the two systems are detected. Prerequisites

  • You have reconciled process orders (manufacturing orders in SAP APO ) and planned orders.

  • You have selected the Production Campaigns indicator on the CIF – Comparison/Reconciliation of Transaction Data screen before execution. To access the screen, choose Start of the navigation path Advanced Planning and Optimization Next navigation step APOAdministration Next navigation step Integration Next navigation step CIF Comparison/Reconciliation of Transaction Data Next navigation step Execute Comparison/Reconciliation.   • You have selected the appropriate SAP ERP partner system.

Features

The CIF Comparison /Reconciliation of Transaction Data function includes a check for campaign consistency. This check compares production campaigns in the SAP ERP and SAP APO systems in an integrated landscape and allows the reconciliation of differences.

The CIF comparison/reconciliation checks production campaigns for the following inconsistencies:

Inconsistency

Possible Cause and Solution

Integration model does not exist for the production campaign.

You can delete the production campaign in SAP APO .

Production campaign exists in SAP ERP but not in SAP APO .

You can send the order to SAP APO .

Production campaign exists in SAP APO but not in SAP ERP.

You can send the order to SAP ERP.

Production campaign has a different number of orders in SAP ERP and SAP APO .

You can send orders to the system that has missing orders. For example, if the campaign in SAP ERP has 10 more orders than the campaign in SAP APO , you must send these 10 orders to SAP APO .

Change pointer is set for the production campaign in SAP APO but is not published to SAP ERP.

You can either publish the change pointer to SAP ERP or delete it in SAP APO .

Note Note

The comparison and reconciliation of production campaigns has the following limitations:

  • If a production campaign exists in SAP ERP only, there is no provision to delete it.

  • If a production campaign exists in SAP APO only, there is no provision to delete it.

  • If the order does not exist in SAP APO , where it must be added to a production campaign, this inconsistency can only be reconciled with the help of a specific reconciliation. An error message is displayed.

Activities

To correct an inconsistency, do the following:

  1. Select the Production Campaigns indicator and execute the check.

    The system displays the Results Overview for Documents .

  2. Select the relevant production campaign from the results.

    The system displays the production campaigns with inconsistencies between SAP ERP and SAP APO .

  3. To view the cause of and solution for the inconsistency, in the Error Code column, select an error code.
