Function documentation Inserting Charts into Reports  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You can insert charts into your reports. You have two options:

You can insert a chart that is based on an entire data provider. You can assign either an existing data provider from the report or a completely new data provider to a chart of this kind. This kind of charts depicts the entire data provider and can be placed anywhere in the report. They have no relation to the group levels.

You can insert a context-sensitive chart that is located in a certain context of a certain data provider. This kind of chart depicts the context of a characteristic value from the group level in question. They are placed in a dynamic report section based on a data provider. You can, for example, display one chart for each characteristic value. The data of the particular chart then corresponds to the data of the query on which the characteristic value was filtered.

Note

You need to manually adjust the cell size to fit the chart size.

If you inserted a chart in your report, you can then define default values for it.

Integration

You can edit charts in Report Designer. You use the Chart Designer tool for this purpose. More information: Editing Charts

Prerequisites

To display charts in Web applications and reports, you need Internet Graphics Server (IGS) 7.0.
