Workflow: Planning Session with Several Layouts 

Purpose

You can realize a planning session within BW-BPS business planning in which plan data can be entered by several agents with the delivered workflow Planning Session with Several Layouts (BPS52). In contrast to the planning session with one layout workflow, here a separate workflow is generated for each planning package to be processed. This is suitable for more comprehensive planning work.

For example, you can distribute planning tasks to many users from a central position and monitor the procedure using the SAP Business Workflow, and for example, execute a work item analysis.

Prerequisites

You have carried out the activities described in the Preparation and Customizing section.

Process Flow

       1.      In the planning environment define several planning packages and one or several layouts for manual planning.

       2.      Assign agents to the planning packages defined in the planning environment. You can find more information under Preparation and Customizing.

       3.      Start the report UPC_WORKFLOW_BPS52_START in the ABAP Editor. Enter the planning area and planning level in which you have created the packages and layouts. If you enter a date in the field Processing to, you receive an e-mail if the agent has not processed your work item on time.

       4.      The system generates a workflow per planning package; each workflow contains a work item per layout that is automatically provided to the assigned agents in the Business Workplace inbox.

       5.      The agents enter the plan data and finish the workflow manually. Since the workflow is completed manually, plan data entry can be executed in several phases over a longer period.
