Use

You use the function type manual planning for the manual entry of plan data and to display data which already exists. You plan values for key figures for a selection of characteristics.

Like other planning functions, manual planning also operates on one planning level.  Which key figures and characteristics are actually available for planning depends on the respective planning level. Characteristic values for which plan data can be entered can also be restricted in the planning package.

In order to be able to perform manual planning, a planning layoutis created in the planning workbench.

Manual planning takes place either using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, or with the SAP tool ALV Grid.

Planning layouts for manual planning are used as input and output layouts in planning folders (see Planning Folder).

You can reference planning layouts in manual planning with the appropriate components in the Web Interface Builder (see Web Interface Builder).

Prerequisites

You have created a suitable planning layout. For more information see Planning Layout.
