Creating the Header DataThe header data includes the assignment to the line, the restriction name and category and the most important administration data.
When accessing the restriction maintenance, enter a planning version and the line you want to assign to the restriction. If you define a group of alternative lines, then the quantity specified in the restriction is valid for all the lines in the group of alternative lines together. That is, the minimum/maximum quantity has to be respected by all the lines in the group of alternative lines in total. For example, if you have defined a maximum quantity of 100, then a total of 100 pieces at most is dispatched to the lines in the group of alternative lines.
Note
You can create restrictions for all lines in a line network. Whether or not all restrictions are taken into account during planning depends on the planning procedure and procedure profile selected for the procedure package. See also: Including Restrictions in Planning
You define the name of the restriction and provide a short description.
Select a
Restriction category.
You define whether the restriction is to be converted to a quantity restriction. This is only necessary for the spacing, K-in-M and item restrictions which are to be taken into account by the LP procedure .
You can define a
status
for the complete restriction.
If you lock a restriction, all its periods of validity are also locked.
Once you have released the restriction, you can decide when maintaining the period of validity whether the restriction is not to be used for a certain period. If a restriction is not to be used for a certain period, enter the date from when this is the case and set the
Inactive
indicator.
The system automatically saves who created the restriction, the date on which it was created as well as who was last to change the data and the change date. To display the data from the application select the restriction and choose in the menu.
