Defining the Dependency Editor If you have activated the Enhanced Dependency Editor, the system display the
Dependencies
tab page in restriction maintenance. If you no longer wish to work with the
Enhanced Dependency Editor
offered, and wish to process the object dependency with SAP syntax in the
Enhanced Dependency Editor
, you can hide the
Dependencies
tab page by defining the relevant user settings. The system will then immediately show the function keys
Display Characteristic Value Assignment
or
Change Characteristic Values
. You are now in the old dependency editor in which you work with
SAP syntax
.
Caution
The system cannot convert object dependencies for a restriction with SAP syntax to customer syntax. If you want to continue processing the dependency at a later point in time in the Enhanced Dependency Editor, you can only work with SAP syntax for this restriction.
For more information on working with the
characteristic value assignment
function keys, see
Creating Restrictions (Using the Editor)
.
In the restriction maintenance screen, choose the
User Settings
function key.
The system displays the dialog box entitled
User Settings for Model Mix Planning
.
Select the
Dependency Editor
and choose
or
.
The system hides the
Dependencies
tab page. The
and
Characteristic Value Assignments
function keys are shown at the same time.
If you choose
, the settings remain until you exit the restriction maintenance function. If you choose
, the settings remain valid even after you exit the transaction.
