Creating Line Balances Load the line network and/or line for which you want to create a line balance.
The line network is shown and displays the header data and the tab pages in the detail area.
Choose the
Line Balances
tab page.
Enter a name and a description for the line balance and choose
Continue
.
The system displays a message saying that the line balance will be created when you next save.
Then choose
Save.
If you have already created a model mix for the line balance, enter the name of the model mix in the
Model Mix
field.
Select the line balance and choose the
Effectivity
function button.
The system displays an overview of the validity periods.
Enter the name of the line balance in the
Line Balance
field.
In the
Valid From
field, enter the date from which the line balance is to be valid and choose
Continue
.
The system copies the date. The system automatically determines the date in the
Valid to
field, from the beginning of the subsequent line balance. You have activated the line balance for this period. The system uses the active line balance for the explosion with the
planning matrix
, to carry out model mix planning, for example.
You return to the
Line Balances
tab page.
Save your entries.
Choose
Load
.
The
Load Objects
dialog box appears
.
Choose the
Environment
tab page and select
Line Balance
in the
Type
field.
The
Line Balance
and
Line Structure
fields are shown.
Enter a line balance and choose
Replace
.
The system displays the line balance in the navigation area with the
icon.
Enter a
line balance rate
on the
Line Balance
tab page by entering the quantity that has to be produced per time unit. Choose
Continue
.
The system calculates the
takt time
from the line balance rate and displays it.
Then choose
Save.
You have created the line balance. If you want to assign the line activities, you must load this line balance or create a filter with this line balance. See also Assignment of Activities .
You can maintain line balance relationships between the line elements to which you have assigned the line activities, and maintain the production resources. See also: Assigning Production Resources Automatically .
