Function documentation Index Area  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You can carry out the following tasks in the Index area:

      Display technical information about indexes

      Activate and deactivate delta indexes and manually integrate them into the main index

      Create indexes (only for test purposes or troubleshooting)

      Completely delete indexes or delete their content (both functions only for test purposes or troubleshooting).

      Display information about the distribution of indexes and the status of index replication

      Trigger and terminate index replication

      Send search queries for test purposes

Features

The following table provides an overview of the windows and functions that are available in this area.

Description

Index Admin

 

Displays technical information about indexes.

The following functions are available:

      Delta Index On and Delta Index Off

Activating the delta index     

      Merge Delta Index

  Manually merging a delta index with the main index     

Index Landscape

Displays the index distribution and the index replication status.

The context menu offers the following functions:

      Clear Index

Clearing an index  

      Delete Index

Deleting an index  

      Create Index

Creating an index  

      Triggering and terminating index replication  

       Replicate Selected Index

       Abort Replication of Selected Index

       Replicate All Indexes

       Abort All Replications

       Abort Index Replications

You require the remaining functions to change the configuration of a distributed TREX system and to correct errors. Index Search

Allows you to send search queries. You use this function for test purposes only.
