To select materials of a particular group in the queries and workbooks, such as material group, division, profit center and so on, you can use all of the navigation attributes of the characteristic material. To do this you must activate the navigation attributes to this InfoCube if you have not already done so (see under Activated Navigation Attributes).

Calculating sums across different values of the following characteristics does not serve any useful purpose:

• Summing across different cost estimates for a given material (across different costing variants, costing versions, costing statuses, costing dates, or with/without quantity structure)
• Summing across different views of a cost estimate (across valuation views or cost component views, different types of cost component splits, or currency types)
• Summing cost estimates for different materials (across plants or material numbers) The individual cost estimates could have different base units of measure and/or different lot sizes.

• If you repeatedly upload the same values (such as the cost estimates for the same costing date), note that the system will add them to the existing values each time. You should therefore delete any existing values before repeating an upload.

0CCOMP_HLP is linked to the characteristics cost component structure, cost component, and level/lower level indicator. This enables exception aggregation across all characteristics (rather than just one of these characteristics) for the key figures lot size and planned production quantity. Exception aggregation is required because these key figures are contained in all data records for a cost estimate. That is, when summing across all cost components, for example, these key figures (which are contained in the data records for each cost component) would also be summed. Exception aggregation prevents this summation of the key figures.
