Data Synchronization Default Settings: Calendar Tab
The data synchronization default settings on the Calendar tab are used to define which aspects of new calendar items in SAP Business One and Microsoft Outlook are synchronized. The settings deal with three main areas:
Microsoft Outlook criteria, such as selecting the folder in which synchronization information is saved
SAP Business One criteria, such as opting to retrieve only open phone calls and meetings from SAP Business One for synchronization
Criteria for both Microsoft Outlook and SAP Business One, such as setting the date range for the appointments to be synchronized
To display the calendar-specific settings, in Microsoft Outlook, choose and select the Calendar tab.
To save your default settings and use them for future synchronization runs, choose the Save Settings button (at the bottom of window).
Note
When you synchronize data using the Synchronize feature, you still have the chance to change the settings for that individual synchronization run.
The default settings on the Calendar tab are displayed as follows:
To set the Microsoft Outlook folder in which synchronization information will be stored, select Folder. To have the system select appointments by category (for example, key customer) during synchronization, select Select Appointments by Category. Then choose Categories and select from the available categories. You can select more than one. |
Select any combination of the following options:
If you do not select any of the above options, the system does not filter the items, that is, all appointments in SAP Business One are synchronized with the corresponding items in Microsoft Outlook. If you select one or more options, only the items specified by the combination of options are included in data synchronization. |
In this group box, you set the Date Range for the calendar appointments to be synchronized:
