You use Generic CDE to create archiving objects and extract data from the legacy system using the existing or the newly created archiving objects.

Procedure

  1. Exclude tables and packages from the generated archiving objects. For more information, see Excluding Tables and Packages.

  2. Trigger Generic CDE to create archiving objects and extract data from the legacy system. For more information, see Triggering Generic CDE from the Legacy System.
