Object documentationDocuments

 

Information carriers that describe objects such as technical drawings, graphics, programs, or text documents.

 

You can assign documents to each object. You can structure the documents in document folders. You can use templates (see Templates) to create documents.

Structure

A document consists of the following elements:

  • Document data, for example, document name, document description, or document status

  • File data, for example, file name, file type, or file size

You can check in the documents in direct mode (see Editing the Document or Folder) or you can check in the documents in HTTP-based mode (see Editing the Document or Folder (HTTP-Based)). You can customize which mode is used. For more information, see the following:
