Definition of Dashboards
You can use this function to create, modify, or delete dashboards in Business Context Viewer (BCV). A dashboard is a collection of query views that you can use to get an overview of the results of the most important queries defined for the given application.
You have the necessary authorizations, which are granted to you in one of the following ways:
In the Role Maintenance
(PFCG) transaction, you are assigned to the BCV User
(SAP_BCV_USER
) role.
On the SAP NetWeaver Portal, you are assigned to the BCV User
(com.sap.pct.bs_fnd.BCV_USR
) role.
You have defined query views used in the dashboard as well as their respective queries, or use the ones predefined by SAP.
For more information, see Definition of Query Views and Definition of Queries.
Depending on the application using BCV, you can find a set of predefined dashboards in your system. For more information, see Business Content for Business Context Viewer.
You can check the consistency of the newly created, or already existing dashboard. To do so, choose Check Consistency
.
You can test existing dashboards in the configuration center by choosing Test
in the starting page of dashboard maintenance.
You can delete your dashboards. To do so, open the dashboard in the configuration center, and choose Delete
.
You can assign dashboards to ACLs, on the Authorization
tab page of dashboard maintenance.
