Thumbnails You use thumbnails (miniature graphics with low resolution) in
Collaboration Folders
(
cFolders
) to obtain a preview of your potentially numerous cFolders objects that provides you with a visual impression of the content of that object. A file preview of this kind offers a quick method of differentiating between objects particularly if there are large numbers of them.
You have write authorization for the object for which you want to create, change, or delete a thumbnail .
You have set the
Display Thumbnails
indicator under
so that the system displays the thumbnails.
Thumbnails are available for the objects
folder
,
material
, and
document
on the detail page (
folder
) or the overview page (
material
,
document
) of the relevant object.
You can create, change, and delete thumbnails for an object.
To create a thumbnail, upload a picture from your local hard disk or a network server.
Check whether your web browser supports the file format of your picture (for example, *.jpg, *.bmp, *.gif, and so on).
You can use the Business Add-In (BAdI)
Thumbnails
to perform checks when you create or change a thumbnail. For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for
Collaboration Folders
under
