 Creating a Thumbnail

Prerequisites

You have write authorization for the object for which you want to create a thumbnail .

Procedure

  1. On the detail page (folder) or on the overview page (material, document) of the object for which you want to create a thumbnail, choose Start of the navigation path Additional Functions Next navigation step Create Thumbnail. End of the navigation path

    Note Note

    Note that the system only displays the Create Thumbnail function if you have not already added a thumbnail to the relevant object. Otherwise the system displays the Change Thumbnail and Delete Thumbnail functions.

    The Select Thumbnail screen appears.

  2. In the File Path field, enter the path for where your picture is stored on your local hard disk or on a network server, or choose Browse to select the path.

  3. Save your entries.

    You return to your object. The system has now added the uploaded picture to it.

Result

The system displays the thumbnail in both the screen of your object and in the folder in which this object ( subfolder , material , or document ) is located.
