You can use a shopping cart to order an external resource from Project Management for a role.

You can schedule the external resource straight away as a resource with edit authorization or as part of the role with edit authorization for a task.

Constraints

  • You cannot use the external resource as a responsible resource or as part of the responsible role.

  • You cannot select the external resource as the decision maker for approving a phase.

  • If you cancel the shopping cart for an external resource, the system automatically deletes the corresponding resource assignment in the role and the references of the external resource to the assigned tasks (resources with authorization to carry out tasks).

  • You cannot use an external resource for roles with distribution.
