Function documentationAdjustment or Enhancement of the User Interface

 

The user interface of SAP Portfolio and Project Management 5.0 was created with Web Dynpro for ABAP.

A number of different options are available for enhancing or changing the user interface. You can either make adjustments that are specific to the SAP Portfolio and Project Management application or you can make general changes to Web-Dynpro-ABAP applications.

Project-Management-Specific Adjustments

The following application-specific adjustments to the Project Management user interface are possible:

  • Defining a customer-specific tab page with a custom Web Dynpro ABAP component

    In addition to this, you can use the BAdI DPR_EXTENSIONS to add up to ten customer-specific tabs to the Details sub view.   • Defining a tab page for customer-specific fields

  • Defining fields as required entry fields or hiding fields

  • Inserting new or customer-specific columns in the table view (see Table View)

  • Inserting new or customer-specific columns in the sub object tabs (tasks, subtasks, checklist items) (see Mass Data Entry). For more information, see SAP Note 1418905.

  • Changing the number of lines in table view, list view, the sub object tabs (tasks, subtasks, checklist items) and several views in resource management. For more information, see SAP Note 1395635.

  • Displaying new or customer-specific fields in the dashboard (see Dashboard in Project Management)

General Changes to Web-Dynpro-ABAP Applications

You can also carry out general enhancements to Web-Dynpro-ABAP applications, for example, if you want to display a new customer-specific field. You can use the framework for modification-free enhancements for this.
