Item Creation from Item Template
You use this function to make it easier to create items. When you create an item from an item template, you do not have to enter the data you have already defined for the item template each time you create an item of a similar type.
Prerequisites
To create a project when creating an item from an item template, you have to make sure that the item template is mapped to a project template in Customizing for

under
Portfolio Management
Global Customizing
Portfolio-Independent Settings
Item Template to Project Template or PS Project
.If you want to have phases and decision points mapped automatically during item creation from a template, you must have maintained the mapping of item template decision points to project template phases in Customizing for
SAP Portfolio and Project Management
under Portfolio Management

Features
When you create an item from an item template, all the data is copied except the Name
of the template, the ID
of the template, and the Global Template
indicator, which are specific only to the following
template properties:
