With this function, you can display or change the attributes of the resource pool in the Portfolio and Project Administration context.

If the resource pool is already locked by some other user, then the current user cannot edit the resource pool.

Activities

  1. You choose Start of the navigation path Portfolio and Project Administration Next navigation step Resource Management End of the navigation path and ensure that the Resource Pools radio button is selected.

  2. By clicking the resource pool ID, you can open the resource pool details to display the following:

    Field

    Status

    Explanation

    Name

    Mandatory

    Name of the pool entered as alphanumeric characters. You can edit the name if required.

    ID

    Display Only

    A unique identifier that cannot be modified.

  3. On the Resources view, you can do the following:

    • Choose Show All Resources to display a list of all resources that meet the filter criteria outlined in the table, for example, Location and Organization Unit.

    • Remove a resource and filter criterion, by selecting the corresponding row in the table and choosing Remove.

    • Add resources according to the filter criteria. The following criteria can be entered in the Add Resources By list:

      Category

      Action to add a criterion

      Location

      Search for resources by location and add them to the pool.

      Organizational Unit

      Search for resources by organizational unit and add them to the pool.

      Team

      Search for and select teams. This allows you to add all resources in a team to the pool.

      Category > Sub Category

      Search for the subcategory and include all resources matching the subcategory in the pool.

      Role Function

      Search for and select role functions. This allows you to filter all resources by role function.

      Portfolio > Bucket

      Allows you to select a portfolio and the corresponding bucket.

      Name (Add directly to pool)

      Allows you to search for and add resources directly to the pool.

  4. On the Resource Managers view, you can do the following:

    • Choose Add Resource Manager to search and add a resource manager.

    • Choose Remove to remove a selected resource manager.

  5. Save your changes.
