Related Objects Management
You can use this function in Portfolio and Project Management
to assign existing objects, or to create other objects and then assign them to an object. The objects you can create or assign can reside in Portfolio and Project Management
or
inProject System (PS)
. The possible assignments are indicated in the following table:

Depending on the object in which you are working, the assignment screen displays the objects that are currently assigned. When you delete an assignment, the rolled-up data on the parent object level is automatically adjusted accordingly when you save the changes to the assignment.
In SAP Portfolio and Project Management, depending on the object in which you want to work, you have created:
A portfolio and corresponding buckets within the portfolio
A portfolio initiative or item
A Project Management project
To use network activities, you must have switched on the switch in Customizing for SAP Portfolio
and Project Management
under .
Assignment of Subobjects
You can also maintain the relationship between the objects at the subobjects level. You can assign the following subobjects:
Decision points of a portfolio item
Decision points of a portfolio initiative
Phases of a Project Management project
WBS elements of a PS project
NWA elements of a PS project (if you have switched on the switch .

Financial Integration
When you create a link from Portfolio Management
to a PS project, the system also links to the financial data of the PS project in SAP ERP. For more information, see Integration
for Item.
Synchronization
You can synchronize the attributes and status of objects, and for objects within Portfolio and Project Management
you can also synchronize authorizations. You synchronize related objects within one application, for example, between the initiative and the items
within a portfolio (vertical synchronization), or between different applications, for example, Portfolio Management
and Project System
