Assignment of Subobjects

You can also maintain the relationship between the objects at the subobjects level. You can assign the following subobjects:

  • Decision points of a portfolio item

  • Decision points of a portfolio initiative

  • Phases of a Project Management project

  • WBS elements of a PS project

  • NWA elements of a PS project (if you have switched on the switch Start of the navigation path 0002 Master Switch Next navigation step 0008 Enhanced Capital and Resource Mgmt Switch (see SAP Note 1457426) End of the navigation path.

For more information, see Assignment of Subobjects.

Financial Integration

When you create a link from Portfolio Management to a PS project, the system also links to the financial data of the PS project in SAP ERP. For more information, see Integration for Item.

Synchronization

You can synchronize the attributes and status of objects, and for objects within Portfolio and Project Management you can also synchronize authorizations. You synchronize related objects within one application, for example, between the initiative and the items within a portfolio (vertical synchronization), or between different applications, for example, Portfolio Management and Project System (horizontal synchronization). For more information, see Synchronization.
