Version Details
You can display and change the details of an item version and an initiative version. The changeability depends on the type you selected when you created the version.
Toolbar
Depending on the original object, you can choose the following functions from the pushbuttons in the toolbar:
Print Fact Sheet
Financial and Capacity Planning
Project (only item)
Timeline Monitor
Reporting Cockpit
Checklist Dashboard (only initiative)
Views
The version details have the same views as the original objects. For more information, see Item Details or Initiative Details.
In addition, the version details contain the Version Information
view.
On the General Information
subview, you can display or edit the version details, such as version type, name, ID and so on.
Depending on your Customizing settings, the ID is generated using the SAP number assignment functionality or a customer-defined processing logic, or a character key (Universal Unique Identifier) is generated on saving. The generated ID can be overwritten manually.
For more information, see Customizing for SAP Portfolio and Project Management
under .
On the Notes
subview, you can add notes to the version information.
Changeability of Version Details Depending on Version Type
If you have created the version with type Snapshot
, you can only display the snapshot version in the version details. However, you can edit the version information by choosing the Version Information
view and then clicking the Edit
Version Information
pushbutton.
If you have created the version with type Simulation
, you can change the version in the version details, including the version information.
Referenced Data
The authorizations displayed in the version details are the authorizations maintained for the original object, hence the version only references them. The same applies for the collaboration rooms, that is, the link displays the collaboration room of the original object.
For more information, see Version Creation.
