You can create a dependency between a current item and another determining item.

Features

You create a dependency as follows:

  1. On the Item Details screen, on the Relationships tab page under Dependencies, you choose Create.

  2. On the Create Dependency screen, on the Overview tab page under General Information, you must enter the following fields:

    • Name

    • ID

    • Type

    For more information about the dependency types, see Item Dependencies.

  3. Under Determining Item, you enter the item by choosing Select.

  4. In the Item Dependencies dialog box, you can search for a single item by choosing ID/Name, Schedule, Location/Geography, or Other Data.

  5. You enter a suitable search string and choose Find.

  6. Under Search Result, you select the item you want and choose OK.

  7. Finally, you choose Save and Close.
