Confirming Checklist Items
You are defined as the person responsible for a checklist item and have finished the checklist item. You now want to confirm the checklist item as finished in the system.
All tasks that belong to the checklist item have the status Completed
. For more information, see Confirming Tasks.
You are on the Dates and Work
tab of a checklist item or you have opened theConfirmation
screen in the checklist item area of the dashboard. The Confirm
pushbutton is available on all tabs
displayed in the checklist item area of the dashboard except for Substitutes
.
The checklist item has the status Released
or In Process
.
In the structure tree (see Structure Tree), navigate to the checklist item you want to confirm and click on it.
Enter an Actual Finish
in the Confirmation
area, if required.
Select the entry OK
or Not OK
from the Result
dropdown box.
Go to the Basic Data
or Status
tab.
Choose Finish
from the Change Status
dropdown box.
Select the checklist item(s) you want to confirm in the table and choose Confirm
.
Select the checklist item(s) you want to edit. All pushbuttons are disabled until you select a checklist item.
Choose Open Checklist Item(s)
to view or edit the detail data of the checklist item. For more information, see Creation of Data for a Checklist Item.
Choose Open Note(s)
if you want to view the notes that are available for the checklist item or if you want to add new notes. For more information, see Notes.
Choose Open Document(s)
if you want to view the documents available for the checklist item or attach new documents. For more information, see Documents.
Select at least one checklist item and choose Copy Planned Finish to Actual Finish
to copy the planned date(s) (earliest or latest planned date) to the corresponding actual date. The pushbutton Copy Planned Finish to Actual Finish
is
only active if the Confirmation
screen is in edit mode and at least one checklist item has been selected.
Once you have completed the checklist item(s), choose Complete
from the Change Status
dropdown box.
Note
When you complete the checklist item(s), the system checks the actual finish date. If the actual finish date has not been entered, the system automatically enters the current date as the actual finish date.
Save your changes.
Note
The system uses optimistic locking for all checklist item(s). This means that the affected checklist item(s) could be changed or opened by another user or session while you are editing it. If this happens, you cannot save and the system discards your changes. You can reload the data from the back-end system to make your changes again.
The system assigns the status Finished
to the checklist item and confirms it. The checklist item no longer appears on the My Checklist Items
tab in the checklist item area of the dashboard.
