Dashboard in Portfolio Management
You use this function to get an overview of all existing objects in the respective dashboard that you called up via the work center.
In the dashboard, you can view relevant key data for the objects, as follows:
To display the object overview or details, you click the object name.
You can filter and select objects that you want to delete.
You can create a new object.
A dashboard that you call up via the object details is an embedded dashboard. For more information, see Embedded Dashboard.

As an administrator, you have defined the visibility of the possible columns in a dashboard, in Customizing for SAP Portfolio and Project Management

To use the SAP BusinessObjects Explorer, you must have switched on the in Customizing for SAP
Portfolio and Project Management

You can do the following within a dashboard:
Export to PDF by choosing the Print Version
pushbutton
Export to Microsoft Excel by choosing the Export
pushbutton
Sort the list
Filter the list
Personalize the display of columns by clicking Settings
Navigate to the object details
Search and explore data for insight into your business by choosing the SAP BusinessObjects Explorer

For some object dashboards, you can select several views, such as All
, Active
, Inactive
, Released,
and so on. You must have assigned these views to scopes. The exception
to this is the dashboard of portfolio structure: It contains separate applications, such as List of Buckets
, Bucket Structure,
and so on.
If you click the icons of the budget status, schedule status, or staffing status, the system displays the details of the statuses in a separate area below the dashboard.
If you select a row in the dashboard, the system displays the items related to this object.
You can edit specific attributes of selected items, initiatives, reviews, or decision points by choosing the Mass Update
pushbutton. For decision points, you can only edit the columns that contain data from the decision point object; the columns with data from
the phase object are read-only.
You can select single items or initiatives and move them to another bucket by choosing the Move To
pushbutton.
With the advanced filter, you can use the search function to filter by criteria that are not visible in the dashboard. You can filter with the search function by choosing the Additional Filter
pushbutton.
You can use this function to personalize the fields to be displayed in the SAP List Viewer (ALV) in the dashboard.

With the personalized settings in the front end, you override the settings that were made in Customizing of the back-end system. For more information, see Customizing for fields for dashboards.
SAP BusinessObjects Explorer
You use SAP BusinessObjects Explorer to search and explore data for instant insight into your business. You can get quick, easy answers to on-the-fly questions without training or IT involvement, by simply entering a few keywords to search for relevant information and then intuitively exploring
large volumes of data – without prior knowledge about what data exists or where to find it. You can start the search in the dashboard by choosing SAP BusinessObjects Explorer
.
