 Roles in cFolders

Use

You can assign the following roles to users in cFolders to ensure that users can access the correct functions and to ensure appropriate authorizations. You assign roles to users on the Roles tab page of the cFolders settings.

  • SAP _CFX_USER

    Gives authorization to call cFolders in the Internet browser. To work in cFolders, the user only needs to be assigned this role.

The following roles give the user authorization to perform additional tasks. The user must also be assigned to SAP _CFX_USER.

Gives authorization to create a collaborative scenario.

Gives authorization to delete a collaborative scenario.

SAP _CFX_COMP_CREATOR

Gives authorization to create a competitive scenario.

SAP _CFX_COMP_DELETOR

Gives authorization to delete a competitive scenario.

SAP _CFX_EXT_USER_ADMIN

Gives authorization to create users belonging to the same business partner.

SAP _CFX_NTF_TMPL_CREATOR

Gives authorization to create a notification template.

SAP _CFX_NTF_TMPL_DELETOR

Gives authorization to delete a notification template.

SAP _CFX_STATUS_PRF_CREATOR

Gives authorization to create a status profile.

SAP _CFX_STATUS_PRF_DELETOR

Gives authorization to delete a status profile.

SAP _CFX_ STD _CREATOR

Gives authorization to create a standard scenario.

SAP _CFX_ STD _DELETOR

Gives authorization to create a standard scenario.

The following roles give administration authorizations.

Administrator Roles

SAP _CFX_ADMINISTRATOR

Gives authorization to manage the cFolders application, including the authorizations of SAP _CFX_USER.

SAP _CFX_CFOLDERS_ADMINISTRATOR

Gives authorization to edit the features and the appearance of cFolders, in addition to the user authorizations.

SAP _CFX_DEBUG

SAP _CFX_EMAIL_SYSTEM_USER

Gives the system user authorization to start jobs for summary e-mails and reminder notifications for status management. The role is automatically assigned in the background once a system user has been created. Do not assign this role to any user. It is only intended for the system user.

SAP _CFX_NETWORK_ADMINISTRATOR

Gives authorization to change all network settings and release batch jobs.

SAP _CFX_SUPER_USER_ADMIN

Gives authorization to manage all collaborations, status profiles, and user groups. However, this role does not give you authorization to create new cFolders objects.

Caution Caution

Only assign this role to a small number of trustworthy users. With this role, you avoid the cFolders authorization concept that controls access to cFolders objects.

You can use this role if you do not require or want roles to be assigned to different persons.

SAP _CFX_USER_ADMINISTRATOR

Gives authorization to create, change, and delete users, in addition to the user authorizations. This includes assigning all SAP _CFX* roles.

SAP _CFX_USRGRP_CREATOR

Gives authorization to create a user group.

SAP _CFX_USRGRP_DELETOR

Gives authorization to delete a user group.
