Phase of an object in cFolders that must follow a certain workflow within
status management
. For example, the object
document
could have the following statuses during its life cycle:
New
In process
Being checked
Released
Use
You create a status in the status profile. You can define the following:
The name of the status and a description. The description can contain additional information, for example what a user is to do when an object has a particular status.
Whether a status is the initial status of an object when the object is first assigned to the status profile
Whether an object, object version, or field group with the status is to be protected
Object authorization for the status . You can give authorization for an object assigned to the status profile to authorization types, that is users, user groups, roles, and organizations. You can also define object authorization for the field groups of an object that has a particular status.
Status actions for the status
Whether field groups of a generic object assigned to the status are to be protected.
It is not possible to edit a status is the status profile to which the status belongs is assigned to an object.
