Use

You can create categories for the following object types:

An object category is an object with additional data. Object categories can have their own names, instead of the standard names, and their own icons. For example, the object category certificate for a document might have the additional data pupil , teacher , or the date the certificate was issued, and it might contain a file related to the subject of the certificate, for example, a thesis.

Object categories can only be created by system administrators. For more information about object categories, see the configuration guide for cFolders in SAP Solution Manager.

If your system administrator has defined categories for objects, you can select one of these from the dropdown list Categorization on the screen for creating the object type.

It is not possible to change the object category after you have created a object using this category.

An object category behaves like a generic object . For more information about authorizations for object categories, see Authorizations for Generic Objects and Object Categories .
