Business Context and Use

This process component enables you to send retail, financial, and goods movement transactions that are performed in a retail store to SAP POS DM. Once in SAP POS DM, transactions can be analyzed, aggregated and forwarded to subsequent processes.

Notes on SAP Implementation

To use the Point Of Sale Transaction Processing process component:

  • SAP POS DM must be configured for use according to the business requirements of the customer

  • You must be using the BW-BCT-ISR-PIP application component

  • You must be using one of the following software components:

    • SAP NW 7.0 BI Content Add-On 7.07, or higher

    • SAP NW 7.3 BI Content Add-On 7.37, or 7.47, or higher
