Making Personal Settings 

Use

You can change the user interface of the Enterprise Services Builder to meet your individual requirements by making the relevant adjustments in your personal settings. In particular, challenged users can adapt the application to their needs for accessibility.

The personal settings are stored on the user’s computer. The settings are not retained when the user goes to a different computer.

You can restore the default settings at any point by choosing Default Settings.

Procedure

To call the entry screen for Personal Settings, in the main menu choose Tools  → Personal Settings ().

In the Personal Settings editor, you can make settings for the following work areas:

Making General Settings

To call the entry template for these settings, in the navigation area of the editor, choose General.

●      Preferred display language for objects

You can set the display language for language-specific texts of the objects.

●      Autocomplete

You can activate or deactivate the autocomplete function. You can also delete the history of the input fields.

●      Accessibility

You can make it possible to focus on additional elements (text fields that are not entry fields), making them accessible to challenged users.

Screen readers can read out the contents of these elements.

●      Object View

You can define whether the header area in the object editors is shown or hidden.

Making Navigation Settings

To call the entry template for these settings, in the navigation area of the editor, choose Navigation.

You can define whether or not you want to restore the subtrees when you start the application. In this case select the Restore Focus on Subtrees After Restart checkbox.

Making Search-Function Settings

To call the entry template for these settings, in the navigation area of the editor, choose Find.

For search help you can set one of the following two options:

●      Display as a tab page in the work area of the application window

●      Display as modeless window

You can also define whether the search function should start in standard search mode or in enhanced search mode.

Making Modeling Environment Settings

You can define settings for the modeling environment.

Settings for All Models

To define settings for all models in the Enterprise Services Repository, choose the Modeling entry in the navigation bar of the editor.

You can make the following settings:

●      Objects Tab Page

You can define which information is to be displayed for modeling objects in models and whether the uniqueness of the object names is to be checked when renamed. In addition to this, you can also define settings for connections and text placing.

●      Print Tab Page

Contains settings for printing models.

●      Layout Tab Page

Contains settings with which model objects and connections are to be assigned.

Settings for New Models

To define settings for new models, choose the entry New Models in the navigation bar of the editor.

You can make the following settings:

●      Display Tab Page

●      Print Tab Page

Contains print settings.

Print scaling specifies the size of the print output of the model relative to the page size. By doing this, you can modify the size of the model for the print output regardless of the size of the model in the model window.

For example, if you select a value of 10% instead of 100%, all objects of the model to be printed are displayed ten times smaller than their previous size. In other words, the size ratio of the objects remains unchanged, but the entire model is printed on a smaller number of pages.

Making Settings for the Graphical Process Editor

To call the entry template for these settings, in the navigation area of the editor, choose Process Editor.

Here you can define the default settings for the graphical process editor. The settings take effect the next time the Process Editor is started.

●      Editor and Display

You can define the editor to be displayed in the work area when you start the Process Editor. You can also hide the overview and output areas by default. If required, the BPEL4WS display can be updated automatically. For example, if you make changes to the process outline, they are immediately visible in the BPEL display.

●      Graphical Definition

You can define if the process definition should be displayed horizontally or vertically (field Standard Layout) Furthermore, you can define how the graphical display of the process definition is loaded (field Load Definition From):

○       XML: Loads the graphical display from the XML definition. This setting is usually better for performance and is recommended in most cases. 

○       Repository: Loads the graphical display from the Enterprise Services Repository. This setting is recommended if the integration process definition is no longer correct because errors have occurred.

●      Task Log and Processing Log

You can define that new messages should be added to the existing ones in the output area, and not overwrite them. You can also reduce the size of the displayed messages. For example, you can restrict the display to error messages.

Making Logon Dialog Settings

●      Logon language

You can set which logon language is to be proposed in the logon dialog for the Enterprise Services Builder.

Use this function if you have logged on to the Process Integration tools using Single Sign-On and want to change the logon language of the new session you have opened.
