Settings for Automatic Alignment
(Modeling)
With these setting you can configure the way objects and connections of a model are to be arranged, and check the result directly in the model window.
The following table lists all the possible settings:
Settings for Automatic Alignment of Rows
Setting |
Description |
Enable row recognition |
Groups objects by row based on the maximum configured object spacing, and handles them accordingly. |
Maximum object spacing |
Holds the maximum vertical object spacing that may separate objects from the row to which they are to belong. Objects at a greater distance are assigned to a different row. You can enter a value between 1 and 100. |
Align objects |
Based on your settings, the objects are adjusted by row. |
Top/Centered/Bottom |
Aligns the objects by row either top, centered or bottom. |
Adjust vertical spacing |
Based on your settings, the row spacing is adjusted. |
Spacing |
Here, you enter the distance between the lines in millimeters. You can enter an integral value between 1 and 100. |
Resize object height |
Resizes the height of all objects to fit the height of the lowest or highest object based on your settings. |
To fit smallest object |
Resizes the height of objects to fit the height of the lowest object. |
To fit largest object |
Resizes the height of objects to fit the height of the highest object. |

Setting |
Description |
Enable column recognition |
Groups objects by column based on the maximum configured object spacing, and handles them accordingly. |
Maximum object spacing |
Holds the maximum horizontal object spacing that may separate objects from the column to which they are to belong. Objects at a greater distance are assigned to a different column. You can enter a value between 1 and 100. |
Align objects |
The objects are adjusted by column based on your settings. |
Left/Centered/Right |
Aligns the objects by column left, centered or right. |
Adjust horizontal spacing |
The column spacing is adjusted based on your settings. |
Spacing |
Here, you enter the distance between the columns in millimeters. You can enter an integral value between 1 and 100. |
Resize object width |
Resizes the width of all objects to fit the width of the narrowest or widest object based on your settings. |
To fit smallest object |
Resizes the width of objects to fit the width of the smallest object. |
To fit largest object |
Resizes the width of objects to fit the width of the widest object. |

Places incoming or outgoing connections to objects on top of one another according to your settings. |
Incoming connections |
Groups incoming connections of an object and places them on top of one another. |
