Grouping Configuration Objects

Using configuration scenarios, you can group configuration objects to structure the content of the Integration Directory more clearly.

Transporting Configuration Scenarios

You can transport configuration scenarios together with all the configuration objects used. This enables you, for example, to transport all the configuration objects belonging to one configuration scenario from a test environment to a productive environment.

A configuration scenario is always transported together with all the configuration objects grouped within it.

To transport configuration scenarios, define groups of business systems in the System Landscape Directory in which the business systems that have been pre-defined for different areas of use (for example, testing and production operation) are grouped together (see System Landscape Directory for Process Integration).

To ensure configuration content can be imported and exported without any problems, in the System Landscape Directory, you must define (prior to import) which business systems correspond to each other in the various business system groups (see Configuring Groups and Transport Targets).

Deleting Configuration Scenarios

When you delete a configuration scenario, all the configuration objects grouped within it are not deleted as well. You must delete these separately, if applicable.

Referenced Model

If the configuration scenario relates to a process integration scenario (classic) from the Enterprise Services Repository, the scenario name is displayed under Referenced Process Integration Scenario.

To call the function for configuring the underlying model, choose Model Configurator ().

Configuration Overview and Graphical Overview

The Display/Edit Configuration Scenario work area of the editor contains the following tab pages.

Available Tab Pages

Tab Page	Description
Objects	Displays the configuration objects that belong to the configuration scenario. The tab page is divided into two tables in which the following objects are displayed: ●      Communication profile objects (communication party, communication components, communication channel). ●      Logical routing objects (receiver determination, interface determination) and the collaboration agreement (sender and receiver agreement). To add an object to the configuration scenario, choose Add Object to Scenario (). You select the object type from the dropdown list box. This calls input help for this object type.  To remove objects from the scenario, select the relevant line in the table and choose Remove Object(s) from Scenario (). To create a configuration object again, and to add it to the scenario, choose Create Object ().
Configuration Overview (Direct Communication)	Displays the configuration overview for all direct connections in the configuration scenario.
Configuration Overview (Integration Server)	Displays the configuration overview for all objects that are relevant for communication using the Integration Server.
Graphical Overview	Displays the graphical overview of the configuration.
