Use

All configured connections for the model are listed in a table.

The Configuration Overview (Direct) tab page contains all configured direct connections for direct communication between two business systems.

The Configuration Overview (Integration Server) tab page contains all connections for the configuration of communication that involves the Integration Server.

Features

Display Configured Connections

The sender and receiver are displayed for each connection. Expand a row in the table to display the names of the relevant configuration objects as well as further defining attributes.

Example

For example, the inbound interface used for a particular receiver is displayed.

The arrangement of the information reflects the processing sequence at runtime. If a connection was assigned an operation mapping, this is displayed.

When you position the cursor on a cell in the table, the configuration object (together with its object key) that matches the data in the expended line of the table and the particular cell is displayed in a quick-info box. To open the assigned configuration object, double-click an entry.

Assigning and Creating Additional Configuration Objects

To create and add new configuration objects to the configuration scenario, use the functions in the toolbar above the table. For configuration objects that can be created generically, you can choose whether you want to create the object generically or not here.

Note

If a configuration object is already defined for a specific combination of key attributes, then you can no longer create it generically (for more information, see: Generic/Specific Definition of Configuration Objects). The relevant create function is deactivated in this case.

Click the icon for the object type to call the create dialog for new objects. Click the arrow beside the object type icon to open a dropdown list box where you can decide whether you want to create the object generically or specifically. In this case, the object editor is opened for the object you want to create. The key fields of the object are already defined as specified in the previous settings.

.

Note

If you have changed the object (for example, configuration scenario) for which the configuration overview is displayed, you must save the object first. Only then can you refresh the configuration overview by choosing Refresh (This graphic is explained in the accompanying text).
