Use

If the overall load of message processing on the DOE increases, it can have an impact on the performance of the DOE. To ensure that the DOE performs efficiently, you must track the overall load of message processing in the DOE at regular intervals. To do this, you can first determine the number of messages that are present in the different queues of the DOE. Then, you can analyze the search results and perform the necessary follow-up activities. For example, if for a specific device, the size of the queue has exceeded the configured value, you can send an alert to the user of the device or block the extract for that particular device.

Prerequisites

You have scheduled a background job to aggregate the statistics on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

Procedure

...

       1.      Choose Monitoring.

       2.      From the left part of the screen, choose Queue Tracking.

       3.      In Search Queue details, enter the required search criteria and choose Go.

You can also use the advanced search that provides you with additional parameters to perform your search.

Under Queue Search Results, the queue name along with the device name and the number of messages present in the queue are displayed. Under Queue Details, for a particular queue, the number of read and unread messages along with the size of the queue, and first message ID are displayed. The last section of the screens displays the messages that are present in the queue. You can view the contents of a message or delete messages if required.
